New Harvest & CAPE

We worked with New Harvest, an international field-building organization advancing cellular agriculture for the public good, to create a PDF summary report about their Cellular Agriculture Prairies Ecosystem (CAPE) Project. CAPE is a three-year project focused on coordinating biomanufacturing and cellular agriculture ecosystem building activities, centred in the Canadian Prairies.

Currently, the Canadian Prairies produce a substantial amount of crops like sugar beets, canola, and wheat. Processing these crops generates potentially high value by-products, called a co-product, as they contain macronutrients that can be isolated, reformulated, and commercialized. Cellular agriculture technology (the production of food and other agricultural products using cultured microbial, algal, plant, insect, or animal cells) can help Canada leverage these co-products domestically.

New Harvest wanted to create report that would summarize this opportunity for Canadians, while also outlining the next steps required to build on this potential. We conducted research, wrote, and designed custom graphics for this report. The report was designed to be viewable in both a digital and printed form.
